followup

A reply to a post in a Usenet newsgroup or to an e-mail message. A followup post may quote the original post so that other readers are reminded of the discussion so far, and this quoted part of the post is usually indicated by greater than symbols (>). If you do quote from a previous post, only quote the minimum amount to get your point across; never quote the whole message as this is considered a waste of time and resources.
